Basic Training

Chapter 1
This chapter includes how to set up an VOIP device in a local network. It covers the topics of router, switch, hub and firewall.

Chapter 2
This chapter includes the topic to install and setup USB phones on windows. The training includes a detail level on how to setup the driver manually for USB devices.

Chapter 3
We provide training to better support VOITSP Inc. partners worldwide. Case based troubleshooting for technical issue in VOITSP network is with more accurate approach.

Chapter 4
VOITSP Inc. has a wide range of trobleshooting knowdlege base for VOIP device. In this chapter we will provide real life examples on the frequent problems encounter by some end users.

Chapter 5
As there are many different brand of routers and firewalls in the market, we provide some hand-on configuration to setup a VOIP phone to get through the firewall. Once you have complete this training, you should be able to solve the most frequent firewall problems.


Our training has provided successful support to all our global partners in the VOIP field. We provide basic training for general technical support to better serve clients and we also provide advanced training for setting up VOIP server and VOIP Business Management System (VBMS).

Chapter 3: Pre-Troubleshooting Check Lists

  • Does end user have internet connection on premises? If yes, the connection could be 28k modem or better both upstream and downstream. To optimize the quality of the phone, faster and steadier the internet connection is required.
  • If end user uses dial-up connection, only USB NetPhone can be used.
  • If end user uses Satellite or Wireless internet service, make sure uplink speed is sufficient even during bad weather.
  • For end users in Africa, Eastern Europe, or in Mid East, please have end users ping 64.77.238.196 for network latency. Please call internet service provider if delay is 400ms or more.
  • NetPhone USB interface works on Microsoft 98SE or later operation system. Older operation systems don’t have WDM driver work with USB devices.
  • If end users computers were manufactured before year 2000, please contact sales engineers for hardware and firmware compatibilities.
  • End users will need broadband routers if they want to use NetPhone and their PC on one IP address.
